How it works

Three steps to a professional winter planter

Step 1

Measure and order

Measure your planter opening across the top. Select your size. We cut every stem to spec so your arrangement turns out full and balanced.

Step 2

Kit arrives

Fresh-cut evergreens, accents, and step-by-step instructions - everything labeled. Set aside 30-45 minutes and a flat surface.

Step 3

Assemble and enjoy

Instructions written for total beginners. Your house becomes someone else's mood board.

What's in your kit

Materials that set us apart

The same sourcing and materials our designers use for 7,000+ professional installations a year.

Where our greens begin

Evergreens from Oregon

Our winter greens come from the foggy ridgelines and coastal forests of Oregon, where slow-growing, high-elevation evergreens develop color, density, and fragrance you can smell as soon as you open the box.

Selectively trimmed

Protecting our forests

Our evergreens are harvested by selectively trimming mature trees - never clear-cutting. This approach supports healthier forests and ensures the longevity of these mountain ecosystems.

Chosen with care

Hand-selected stems

Every stem is hand-selected for shape, fullness, and freshness, so your arrangement looks vibrant and abundant throughout the holiday season.

Why faux?

Premium Faux Berries

Real winterberry looks great in photos but fails in practice — berries fall off in shipping, and birds eat the rest. Our faux berries keep their color all season.

Inspired by nature

Our design process

Every stem starts with real botanicals — winterberry, dogwood, elderberry. We study the curvature, the clusters, the colors, then develop custom molds so each stem feels naturalistic and richly detailed.

Harvested at peak color

Vibrant branches

We harvest dogwood and willow when their winter color is at its strongest - from deep red osier to glowing yellows and flame-orange varieties. These branches rise above the greens to add lift, movement, and a bright pop of color.

Dried and decorative

Seasonal Botanicals

These seasonal accents add texture, depth, and character. They make the arrangement feel layered and natural - almost as if it were gathered on a walk in the winter woods.

California-grown and preserved

Preserved Eucalyptus

Real, preserved eucalyptus grown in California. Soft color, delicate texture, and light fragrance - an airy, graceful element that contrasts beautifully with the evergreens and twigs.

Evergreens from Oregon's coastal forests

Our greens come from the foggy ridgelines of Oregon's Coast Range, where slow-growing, high-elevation evergreens develop the density, color, and fragrance that define our kits. Every stem is hand-selected and cut to spec for your planter size.

Evergreens from Oregon

Slow-growing noble fir, incense cedar, and oregonia from the coastal forests of Astoria — fragrant enough to smell through the box.

Sustainably harvested

Selectively trimmed from mature trees, never clear-cut. Our sourcing supports healthy forests and long-term ecosystem health.

Hand-selected stems

Every stem is chosen for shape, fullness, and freshness so your arrangement looks vibrant throughout the season.

Faux berries that actually last

Real winterberry looks incredible in photos but fails in practice — berries drop in shipping and birds eat the rest within days. We studied real botanicals to develop premium faux stems that hold their color, shape, and detail all season long.

Premium faux berries

Realistic clusters that keep their color through rain, frost, and the entire holiday season without dropping a single berry.

Designed from real botanicals

Each stem starts with a real botanical reference — winterberry, dogwood berry, elderberry — so the shape, clustering, and color feel naturalistic.

Reusable season after season

Premium construction means these stems last for years. Store them flat and reuse them next season.

The finishing details that make it art

Colorful branches, dried botanicals, and preserved eucalyptus add lift, texture, and depth. These are the finishing elements that make each arrangement feel layered and gathered — like something from a winter walk, not a big-box store.

Vibrant branches

Flame willow, red osier dogwood, and curly willow harvested at peak color. They rise above the greens to add lift, movement, and bright pops of color.

Seasonal botanicals

Pinecones, dried pods, and natural accents that add texture, depth, and character to the finished arrangement.

Preserved eucalyptus

California-grown, naturally preserved. Soft color, delicate texture, and light fragrance that contrasts beautifully with dense evergreens.

Not included: Potting soil. Most customers already have soil in their planter or a bag in the garage. Any basic potting mix from a hardware store works.

Is this for you?

The design-minded homeowner

You care deeply about how your home looks — especially this time of year. You follow home accounts. You notice your friends' and neighbors' decor.

The maker

You want to make something, not just buy something. There's a different kind of satisfaction in stepping back and knowing you made that.

The thoughtful gift-giver

You're looking for a genuinely unique gift for someone with a home they love. Not a candle. Not a gift card. Best given early December so it can be enjoyed throughout the holiday season.

Not for you? That's okay.

There's a break-and-bake version of this. It's $60, it's at Home Depot, and it's genuinely fine. If you'd rather grab something premade on the way home and move on with your day — honestly, that's a reasonable life choice. This isn't that. This is for people who want to make something and deeply value aesthetics.

Frequently asked questions

Yes! That's the whole point. The stems are pre-cut to the right lengths. The color ratios are pre-planned. We have written and video instructions created for total beginners. You're gonna do great.
We typically estimate 30-60 minutes per planter, depending on your skill level, confidence level, and current caffeine intake. Or eggnog intake...
Use a tape measure to get the diameter of the opening across the top. If you have a square container, measure corner to corner, not side to side. Between sizes? Round up! If you size down to save money hoping to "make it work," you will not be satisfied with the results. Similarly, you do not need to size up to be extra spectacular. The greens and accents are carefully calibrated to your container's diameter!
Kits ship within a tight window of harvest. We treat all fresh greens with an organic, non-toxic, pet and child safe preservative that helps them stay fresh throughout the season.
Soil is not included. Most customers already have soil in their planter or a bag in the garage. If not, any basic potting mix from a hardware store works. PLEASE NOTE: potting soil only. Not top soil, not compost, not mulch, not a shoveful of dirt from your garden. Bagged potting soil.
Kits ship the last week in November and the first week in December in the order in which they are received. Any order placed before November 21st will ship the week of November 23, 2026. We harvest and pack to demand, so ordering early guarantees your kit. WE DO ANTICIPATE SELLING OUT BY DECEMBER 5TH!
Absolutely! We have an option in the cart to customize your order with a note to the recipient, and they will not see the price displayed anywhere. The greens will not fare well in a box under the tree for a few weeks, so best to give it early in December for them to enjoy all season long.
Contact us. We stand behind our designs and our instructions. If you're REALLY struggling, one of our designers will get on a FaceTime with you and walk you through it. Seriously. We're here to help you succeed.
